The story of instant noodles is interesting.
The global demand of instant noodles is 102.7 billion servings of instant
noodles eaten in 2014. On average, ever one on the planet ate 14 servings a
year. Regardless of the demographic area, age and gender, instant noodles are
loved as global food. In India, it’s a comfort food.
The per capita consumption of the top 3
countries, all in Asia are as follows: South Korea – 72.8 servings, Vietnam –
54.5 servings and Indonesia - 53.7 servings. And the per capita annual
consumption is 14.3 servings.
The global demand in packs eaten in the
world in a year is – China & Hong Kong – 44, 400 billion packs, Indonesia –
13,430 billion packs, Japan – 5, 500 billion packs, India – 5,340 billion
packs, Vietnam – 5000 billion packs, USA – 4,280 billion packs, South Korea –
3,590, Thailand – 3070, Philippines – 2,800 and Brazil – 2,360 billion packs.
