It’s very clean, at least in the areas tourists go to. It’s friendly and safe. And most important, no corruption at any level. No paying of bribes to anyone.....
If you wish to be
happy or wealthy, Dubai is the place to be. I have been there a few times. Me,
happy? Yes. Wealthy? No! Most middle and upper-middleclass Indians like Dubai.
It’s the quality of life, hospitality and food that has much to do with it.
Many Indians see it as an Indian city that ought to be; as something that
should exist in India but does not. So many affluent Indians love Dubai, flying
across the sea often.
It’s very clean, at
least in the areas tourists go to. It’s friendly and safe. And most important,
no corruption at any level. No paying of bribes to anyone. Everything is
relatively easy to accomplish. Dubai lets you do the things you can’t do or
dare to do in India; and best thing is you never feel awkward about it.
There are tall
towers as if competing with each other, colourful lights, neons, range of
luxury cars, glitz and glamour. Dubai has the best malls. One can get lost in
Dubai Mall, with an indoor ski slope, near Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest
building. Here you can get everything and every brand you can imagine, from
clothes, cars, gadgets, gold to footwear. It’s readily available. The hotels
are world class and the food is excellent, especially for non-vegetarians.
You will be
surprised to note that as a first-world city run by third-world people, most of
whom, are Indians and Pakistanis, make it an exhilarating destination. The city
attracts people from all over the globe making it a truly international city.

The book paints the picture of
unique Indian ethos. It’s simple and a compelling read. The book is about
Bharata and his pivotal role in Ramayana. The strong message of Dharma is
conveyed in a very simplistic manner.
